Paula Atkins

Paula Atkins has been in the healthcare field for 28 years, starting out in mental health and now working with the intellectually disabled. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her master’s degree in Philanthropy and Non-profit Development. She has also earned her certification in Non-Profit Management and obtained national accreditation as a CNP (Certified Non-Profit Professional) and ACNP (Advanced Certified Non-Profit Professional) from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. She has been at Holy Angels for 26 years and currently serves on the executive leadership team as the Chief Clinical Officer. Holy Angels is a non-profit agency that provides services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and those who are medically fragile. In her role as the CCO (Chief Clinical Officer) she is the liaison with all outside consultants and government agencies, and she oversees all audits, both programmatic and structural. She oversees quality management and ensures compliance in federal, state and local standards and regulations for all programs. She ensures that funding is secured from local managed care organizations and resolves any billing issues. She is glad to be collaborating with other agencies to improve services for those in need.
